Selecting the correct partners for architectural design and construction management was a crucial decision for us.  I am very pleased to say that Weller & Michal Architects and Ingram Construction were extremely attentive to our needs and desires and have far exceeded our expectations....Above all, I must commend Jeff Ingram and Charles Michal for the excellent cooperation and shared commitment to delivering a project beyond anything we could have conceived.  We heartily endorse both Charles Michal and Jeff Ingram in their next design/construction venture, and are confident that they will competently and in a very professional, business-like manner satisfy their next client.

Charles served as the lead architect on a major expansion and renovation project for our facility, serving children with complex medical and developmental needs. He provided an analysis of our space use and challenges and used this as a foundation to identify creative facility options to better meet the needs of the children we serve. Our classrooms are now models for other providers for children with significant disabilities. In a second phase he guided the comprehensive renovation of the original building, all in a facility occupied 24 hours a day. His vision and expertise were great assets to this process.

Charles guided my company in the conversion of a 1922 manufacturing plant into our new corporate headquarters that includes facilities for our adult day care center. The results are dramatic and spectacular. I was particularly impressed by his attention to detail. Charles and his staff clearly were able to understand what our mission was and to merge what we needed with what we wanted. I believe we were very well served. The interior design of the building is an excellent merger of what we needed and what we understand would be most efficient as well as aesthetically pleasing. I believe Charles’ design work allows our agency to work well and to do so in a very pleasant, uplifting and high-quality environment. Charles’ architectural skills, his technical abilities and his ability to envision and execute exceeded our expectations.

Charles Michal exemplifies his profession of architect. He listens attentively to his clients, and effectively translates their needs and wants into creative and imaginative ideas, while respecting budgets, themes and any pre-existing constraints of the project. His presentations are engaging and appealing, and clients cannot help but get excited! My direct experience with Charles is through his long association with The Colonial Theatre and with Monadnock Economic Development Corporation.

The City of Keene engaged Charles Michal to execute conceptual design work that would illustrate how our downtown area could accommodate a growth in governmental services. He examined how a new County Courthouse could be incorporated into our historic downtown. He provided conceptual design studies for public review to illustrate options which would allow for growth in County government, including courts, administration, and the Registry of Deeds. Charles' ability to weave together information from many sources was outstanding. He combined both large scale planning perspectives with historical and specific architectural issues to create a compelling design idea. The presentations made to the public were extremely well received, and met every expectation and requirement we had.  I would not hesitate to call upon his firm again when the City is in need of professional services.

Applying great respect for all the rough materials on hand and my personal wish to utilize them as much as possible throughout the house, he was inspired to express, both in texture and scale, the physical way the building was constructed, thus giving it exciting emotional content.
