Over the last 20 years Charles has managed Weller & Michal Architects, Inc., an architectural firm in Southwest New Hampshire.
Charles earned a Master’s degree from the MIT Department of Architecture. He is NCQLP Lighting Certified, has held a PE license in mechanical engineering, and is licensed to practice Architecture in three states.   Charles applies his knowledge and architectural expertise both as a Principal in his architectural firm and as a consultant on outside projects. His firm has completed many projects for government and non-profit entities.  Charles is active in community affairs. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Cedarcrest Center for Children with Disabilities and a founding member of Heading for Home – a regional housing coalition addressing housing affordability and availability in the Monadnock Region.  He is a member of the Board of Selectmen in the Town of Harrisville, after serving many years on the Zoning Board. He participated in developing the first Masterplan for that community.

Responsible for technical project quality of this 30-person architectural research firm, exercised through final project review. Projects included the design consulting and computer simulation of building performance, Seagrams Westchester Corporate Headquarters, for Pasanella and Klein Architects, New York, New York.
